Win an overnight stay at Amberley Castle with a three-course dinner & wine

Andrew Brownsword Hotels is offering the chance to win a luxurious overnight stay at Amberley Castle, complete with breakfast and a three-course dinner in its striking Queen’s Room restaurant.

Located in the picturesque village of Amberley in the beautiful West Sussex countryside, Amberley Castle is a unique luxury hotel, set in 12 acres of land and steeped in more than 900 years of history. Completely enclosed by a 60ft high curtain wall, flanked by a magnificent twin-tower gatehouse, the winner will be invited to step into a time capsule on arrival; suits of armour stand to attention, intricate coats of arms tell tales of previous owners and fine fabrics sit alongside beautiful antiques.

As well as enjoying the beautiful surrounding scenery and Amberley Castle’s wild flower meadows, the lucky winner can enjoy activities on the grounds including a professional standard 18-hole putting course, designed by renowned golf architects Weller Design, a game of tennis on the hotel’s court, or spot of croquet.

The winner and their guest will also enjoy a three-course dinner with a bottle of wine to share at Amberley Castle’s celebrated restaurant. The 12th-century Queen’s Room at the heart of the castle is the main dining room, offering the perfect backdrop for a delicious dining experience, complete with an open fire. The barrel-vaulted ceiling evokes a unique feeling of grandeur, a fine example of Norman architecture with its high lancet windows, open fireplace, oak flooring, tapestry and suits of armour. The skilled kitchen team utilise herbs and fresh produce from the kitchen garden to create the delicious and original menus, cooked to perfection and complemented by modern European influences.

To complete the overnight experience, all guest rooms at Amberley Castle are luxuriously appointed with contemporary bathrooms, blending medieval architecture with modern comforts to luxurious effect. Every room, each named after a Sussex castle or early bishop, retains its distinctive historic character. /
